It’s autumn in New England, the best time of year! Make sure to get out and enjoy this season since we’re lucky enough to live in a place where people visit just to see the foliage. Here are some places to check out where you can enjoy all things fall:
1. Ricker Hill Orchards
This orchard offers apple picking, a corn maze, disc golf, homemade apple cider, donuts, and over 1,000 acres of wildlife habitat. They also make hard cider and have a winery, making it a place that will please everyone!
2. Lost Valley Ski Area
Not just for skiing- come enjoy fall festivities at Lost Valley:
3. Pumpkin Valley Farm
Open Saturdays and Sundays 10am-6pm. A family farm located in Southern Maine. Try to find your way through their 6-acre Corn Maze, take a hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick your own pumpkin, feed the farm animals, launch an ear of corn, try the jumping pillow & more! http://www.pumpkinvalleyfarm.com
4. Spiller Farm
Pick apples and pumpkins. There are farm tour hay rides available weekends from mid-September to mid-October at 1 and 2 pm. Our cattle can be seen on the hay ride or at the apple sales area, and there is a small covered bridge picnic and play area near our geese where you can feed them your bread.
5. Orchard Ridge Farm
This farm has apple picking, and they sell pizza, cider donuts, and ice cream on site. There’s also a petting zoo!
