Saturday Oct 14:
  • Higher Grounds Grand Opening (8am-6pm): swing by to get samples, tastings and handcrafted Speckled Ax coffee and tea specials along with a sticker to access $5 drinks at the dance party held at Maine Craft Distilling later that night. Location: Higher Grounds Maine: 45 Wharf St, Portland, ME.
  • Dance Party at Maine Craft Distilling (8pm-12am): Higher Grounds invites you to a dance party to celebrate their Grand Opening in partnership with Maine Craft Distilling! Featuring live sets from Jasen Loveland (LA/NYC) in his first Maine appearance along with local talent Mosart212. Sign-up in-store or at the party for a chance to win free raffle prizes and coffee.   • MSMT Costume and Yard Sale (10am-1pm): The MSMT Costumes and Yard Sale is your opportunity to own genuine theatrical costumes, props and more from our stock at incredible prices! Ball gowns, shoes, hats, fabrics, modern clothing, historical replicas, masks, accessories, men’s wear, vintage clothing, furs, wigs… as well as fabrics, miscellaneous craft supplies, set decor, kitchen ware, furniture, etc. All proceeds benefit Maine State Music Theatre. (Location: Maine State Music Theatre 22 Elm St, Brunswick, ME.)
  • Fall Foliage Yoga with Goats (12pm-1pm at Sunflower Farms): Come enjoy a yoga class in the field, surrounded by our herd of 25 Nigerian Dwarf goats. (They love munching on fall leaves so we will let them all out for the fun.) Even if all you do is lay on your mat and stare up at the changing leaves and breathe, it is a win! All levels welcome. Donation class. Taste some cheese and enjoy the farm after class or head down the road half a mile to pick some apples. The perfect fall day. This vinyasa style class will be led by the lovely Kelly Rich. You are in for a treat. No need to reserve a spot, just come and pull all the way in behind the barn to park so there is plenty of room for everyone. Location: 12 Harmon Way, Cumberland Center, ME.
  • Adult Day Fall Fest at Lost Valley Ski Area (12-6pm): Live music, corn hole tournament, giant jenga, can jam, wolfpack fitness demos, beer pong and more. Baxter Hayride on draft.
 
Sunday Oct 15:
  • Sunday Pairings: 2Gether We Cook (1-3pm at Cellardoor Winery): The latest in the weekly Sunday wine and food pairings welcome Chef Amy Kayne of 2Gether We Cook. Only $8. Wine and food pairings offered every Sunday.
  • Family Fall Festival at Lost Valley Ski Area (10am-4pm): Pumpkin Games, Potato Sack Races, Face Painting, Sand Tables, Apple Art, Avalanche of Snowballs, Chairlift Rides to Top of Mountain with Wagon Ride to Wallingford's Orchard and more!

  • Harvest on the Harbor- Harvest on the Harbor™ is Portland, Maine’s annual food & drink festival featuring a delicious, diverse and engaging line-up of events during the week of October 16-22, 2017.   • $1 Oysters & Shipyard Takeover (5-8pm at Top of the East): Head to the Top for $1 Oysters and Shipyard Brewery is taking over our Taps. They have Isaiah Bennett singing and Shuck Shack shucking. Come early!
 
Friday Oct 20-21:
  • Haunted Woods Walk and Spooky Corn Maize (6pm-10pm) $12 online: Walks depart every 10 min and take you through a scare-your-pants-off-journey through the haunted dark forest. Saturday Oct 21:
  • Camp Sunshine Pumpkin Festival at LL Bean, Freeport. (12pm-5pm) "A Maine tradition since 2003, the Camp Sunshine Pumpkin Festival transforms the streets of Freeport and L.L. Bean Campus into a sea of orange. Join us as we light nearly 10,000 jack-o-lanterns around Freeport. As always we have quite the schedule of activities and family fun planned - including live music, children's activities, a costume parade, and family pumpkin carving (no purchase necessary).

  • Portland Ghoulwill Ball 2017 (7:30pm) $15 "Hosted by Blake & Eva from the Coast 93.1 Morning Show, the Ghoulwill Ball is sure to be a blast for all of you who enjoy Halloween! Fall in New England
​It’s autumn in New England, the best time of year! Make sure to get out and enjoy this season since we’re lucky enough to live in a place where people visit just to see the foliage. Here are some places to check out where you can enjoy all things fall:  
1. Ricker Hill Orchards

​This orchard offers apple picking, a corn maze, disc golf, homemade apple cider, donuts, and over 1,000 acres of wildlife habitat. They also make hard cider and have a winery, making it a place that will please everyone!

  • Mountain of Terror (Every Friday & Saturday in October, 6-11pm): Make your way through their dark cellar filled with frightening scenes and surprises. Ride your way to the top of the mountain on a chairlift with a free self-guided fright walk.

Open Saturdays and Sundays 10am-6pm. A family farm located in Southern Maine. 4. Spiller Farm

Pick apples and pumpkins. There are farm tour hay rides available weekends from mid-September to mid-October at 1 and 2 pm. Our cattle can be seen on the hay ride or at the apple sales area, and there is a small covered bridge picnic and play area near our geese where you can feed them your bread.

5. Orchard Ridge Farm

This farm has apple picking, and they sell pizza, cider donuts, and ice cream on site.  There’s also a petting zoo!
